Each time I visit the remote Shark Bay region of Western Australia I am met with a different mood. Each season shapes the light in a different manner, and defines the resulting colours and textures that are observed from high above.
This image was shot at the end of the door, hanging out of the open door of a Cessna aircraft. Continuously buffeted by a strong onshore wind, it was a challenging and rewarding flight made easier by an experienced and willing pilot.
The geometry and subtle tones that are captured at this location bring peace to a chaotic and wondering mind.
