A wintry image with outlying farm buildings on the edge of a lake. There is an ageless quality to this painting with it's gentle colour and calming air. There are two pines standing guard over the barn and the trees on the lake on both sides are tall and spare of leaves. Birds soar in the sky above which is pale and the colour is reflected in the abstract portrayal of the foreground that adds a contemporary twist to a classic piece. I love the feel of this piece and I hope you enjoy it too.

The treatment of the scene elevates the piece to a modern take on an olde world, classic piece that has been given a fresh take.

Im not ashamed to say my first love next to my love of painting is the ocean. I am so cativated by the myriad of beautiful colors and what I can see or imagine is underneath the tantalizing surface of the waves. I swim in the sea nearly every day and as I empty my mind from all the clutter I am spellbound by the wonderland below. This stunning, bright but tranquil work brings the viewer a glimpse of the eddying tides, rocks, green grass seaweed and hidden depths that lie beneath the surface. It it a glorious statement piece for your wall and draws the viewer into its magic.

The canvas is a one off original piece and comes with d rings and wire ready to hang. The piece is unframed. Sides are are painted in a crisp white to set off the artwork. The work is created in acrylic with a touch of pastel and pencil. All work has been sealed and varnished for protection.
